<description>I was very pleased to learn that the Essington incinerator has been safely disposed of.

Residents of Invergordon have been celebrating since tea-time on 18 August 2009 when the Invergordon incinerator application was turned down by eight votes to four.

Dr Dick van Steenis spoke at both Essington and at Invergordon and residents and politicians in both locations should be better informed about health issues related to incinerators.

The Health Protection Agency are fond of telling is that incinerators pose no harm to health and yet they&#039;ve not bothered to examine the rates of illness and premature deaths at electoral ward level around any incinerator. Slack or what?

Don&#039;t take my word for the HPA&#039;s lack of due care of our health. You can read the letter dated 8 June 2009 that Justin McCracken, Chief Executive of the HPA, sent to me via link on the incinerator section at www.ukhr.org

Kind regards,

Michael Ryan.
