New Aldi store coming to Wednesfield
Posted on Sunday, August 9th, 2009 at 11:04 pm by James.
The former Mecca Bingo hall on Wednesfield Way, which has been derelict for the past 9 years is currently at the centre of a major refurbishment which will see supermarket chain Aldi open a new store around Christmas time.
The new development at Bentley Bridge retail park is also set to be home to a ‘Pure Gym’ health and fitness centre, and a pet store and will reportedly create 55 new jobs.
Aldi will be the third supermarket chain to open in Wednesfield following Sainsbury’s and Somerfield, and more competition can only mean lower prices for customers!

This particular site has a sign up saying “Life Station” Leasure centre and resturant and has no reference to a new supermarket opening there.
Please check the information as i believe this could be incorrect!
Hi Andrew thanks for the feedback.
We did check this out with a couple of places before we posted as we like to try and make sure the information we’re providing is correct.
Life Property, the company which is developing the area has stated on there own website that there will be an Aldi as part of the development. You can visit their website HERE
And this is taken directly from that site:
And the Express and Star have also reported on this HERE
So despite what the sign says near the development as of writing this was, and as far as we can establish still is, correct.

Do you know how you can apply for a job there? Thank you x
Hi Haylee
I'm not sure how you can apply specifically for that store, but Aldi has an online application form, so your best bet is probably to try and apply there: http://apply.careers.aldirecruitment.co.uk/
do you no when the nnew pet store is going to be opening?

I have no idea I'm afraid, a quick search on the Just Pets website gives no clues either…

I'd presume though that if the Aldi is opening in December the Pet Store may not be far behind!?

Excellent news, Sainsburys is too expensive!
HI Guys,
We keep getting a lot of enquiries about where to apply for jobs at this new Aldi and honestly we have no idea ….
We posted a couple of comments up a link to Aldi's own on-line application form I think that is the best way for you to get in touch with Aldi to apply for any of their jobs,
I'm sorry we can't help further but in this instance we're just the messengers.
Thanks
