Wednesfield Christmas Lights Switch On 2009

Friday afternoon saw over 200 local residents fill Wednesfield High Street outside St Thomas’ Church for the annual Christmas lights switch on. New Cross Hospital standards improving year on year

New Cross Hospital was recently given a glowing review by the Care Quality Commission. A review of the Hospital for 2008/2009 deemed the quality of services at New Cross “excellent” and the quality of financial management as “good”. Wednesfield car depot destroyed by Fire

The Express & Star reports that a Wednesfield car depot was today destroyed by Fire. More then a dozen cars were destroyed at Auto Technique on Strawberry Lane, Wednesfield and Fire Crews spent more than five hours battling the blaze. Football: Ludlow Town 4 – 3 Wednesfield FC

Ludlow overhauled a 3-1 deficit at half-time to run out 4-3 winners against Wednesfield. Mark Swann, Mitchell Fellows and John Griffiths had put the visitors in pole position but Ludlow stole the points with second half strikes from Nathan Hodge (two) and Stuart Corns to add to Gareth Hamer’s early effort.
