Traders call for High Street alcohol ban

UPDATE: Have your say in our Facebook Poll.

Traders in Wednesfield are calling on residents to join them in voicing opinions over what they are calling “major issues” with people drinking in the High Street.

Wednesfield Business Association chairman Jason Gessey is calling for ‘no drinking zone’ around the High Street in order to combat the problem of people drinking and being drunk whilst loitering outside local shops and business frontages.

Residents and local tradespeople are being asked to post their views on the Wednesfield Business Association forum so that comments can be passed onto local Councillors.

You can register and post your comments on the Wednesfield Business Association’s forum here.

Co-founder of WV11.co.uk. I live in Wednesfield and am involved in various community groups and associations. I build websites and develop digital marketing strategies for a living. When not writing for WV11 or attending meetings I play drums in my band Arbor Lights. I think Wednesfield is a great place, with a great sense of community and it isn't given the credit it deserves. Hopefully WV11.co.uk goes some way to fixing this!
