In Pictures: Wednesfield Junior Fishing Competition

Earlier today Wednesfield’s first junior fishing competition took place with over 15 youngsters taking part.

Organised by Wednesfield North Police team, the competition saw local kids pitting their fishing skills against one another to win a selection of prizes which were donated by Fatty’s Bait & Tackle Shop in Ashmore Park.

PCSO Steve Simpson who organised the event said “It’s great to see such a good turn out and all the kids involved have had a great time.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer them the opportunity to take place in an event like this during the school holidays and we hope to run the competition again next year”.

The Winners

First prize went to Luke Bradley who won a £50 voucher for Fatty’s Bait Shop, second prize went to Ben Lowbridge who won an 8ft fishing pole and third prize went to Mitchell Sheridan who won a £30 gift voucher for Fatty’s. The bonus prize of ‘Fisherman of the day’ went to Jo Thomas.
