Three arrested after death of man in New Invention

Three men have been arrested after the death of a man in Beacon Rd, New Invention yesterday.

Police in Walsall are investigating the death of a man found at an address in New Invention, Willenhall yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called to the address in Beacon Road, New Invention at around 2.20pm Saturday 3 March.

One man was found with injuries to the neck at the house and died a short time later. The man has not been formally identified at this stage.

A post mortem has taken place, but further tests are required to establish the cause of death.

At this stage police are treating the death as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the death and are currently helping police with their enquiries.

DI Gary Plant from Force CID at Bloxwich said: “The man has not been formally identified, but we believe he may be around mid-late twenties. Enquiries are currently ongoing into the circumstances surrounding his death and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us at Force CID.”

The house remains cordoned off while forensic enquiries at the scene are ongoing. Officers are also carrying out house to house enquiries and local neighbourhood officers are carrying out reassurance patrols.
