Wednesfield born ‘Apprentice’ star Ruth Badger has given her support to the campaign to save the area’s last remaining trap making premises.

Wednesfield born ‘Apprentice’ runner up Ruth Badger has spoken out about her love of Wednesfield and given her support to the campaign to save the area’s last remaining trap making premises.

Ruth, who now lives in Manchester said: “I spent my whole weekend in Wednesfield so I may live in Manchester but I am a Wednesfield girl born and bred!

“I love Wednesfield dearly and I think it would be a shame to pull any old buildings down as Wednesfield doesn’t have that many old buildings left.”

The 2006 Apprentice runner up who is now a  business consultant went on to say: “We need new businesses for growth but we also need to save room to preserve our heritage.”

The words ‘supporting the community you grew up in’ came into my head. Nice to see Ruth still visits regularly to take part in the community, switching on Xmas lights and supporting local appeals.
