June is traditionally a busy month and 2012 is no exception!
There are lots of Jubilee events taking place in and around Wednesfield in the next week, so make sure you pop along to one if you want to be part of the celebrations!
WV11.co.uk will be helping out at the Ashmore Park Jubilee fun day at St Alban’s School on Tuesday 5th June. Thanks to the hard work of local residents all of the kids activities will be free (bouncy castle, bucking bronco, laser quest, face painting, community art project and much more) and tea, coffee and squash will also be free.
We will also have performances from marching bands, dance groups, cheerleaders, Punch & Judy, a magician, along with a fancy dress competition. The deputy Mayor and Mayoress will open the event at 12pm – more information can be found on the Facebook event.
As well as the various Jubilee event taking place, Wednesfield Aces have added their cycle speedway training dates to the What’s On page and details of the weekly pub quiz at The Castle Inn have also been added.
June ends with a once in a lifetime event – the Olympic Torch Relay! Whilst the route doesn’t come through Wednesfield itself, it will pass nearby and a major event is planned for Wolverhampton City Centre, so check out our torch relay page to find out where the torch will be going.
