Thieves target Ashmore Park Community Centre

A volunteer-run Community Centre home to numerous community groups is the latest place to fall victim to a spate of burglaries in Ashmore Park.

Thieves broke into Ashmore Park Community Centre on Griffiths Drive yesterday (Thurs 29th Nov) between 4pm and 7pm, ransacking the office which is staffed by volunteers and stole a computer, whilst damaging doors, desks and filling cabinets.

This is the 12th burglary reported in the area in 3 weeks and Police have stepped up local patrols in an effort to catch those responsible.

Residents are being urged to be vigilant and make sure that their homes are secure. (Click here to see our Burglary Advice article).

Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
