Car hits school in Graiseley Lane

A 4 x 4 vehicle has ploughed into a primary school on Graiseley Lane in Wednesfield.

Sadly, the Express & Star has reported that the 67 year-old male who was driving the car and had a heart attack at the wheel has since died at New Cross Hospital. Thoughts go out to his family.

A 4 x 4 vehicle has ploughed into a primary school on Graiseley Lane in Wednesfield this afternoon.

During the incident, which was first reported around 2pm today a dark coloured 4 x 4 crashed through railings into the grounds of St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School on Graiseley Lane in Wednesfield.

Early reports suggest the driver became unwell at the wheel, however no children or staff have been hurt.

Graiseley Lane has been closed to traffic, so expect delays if you’re in the area.
