Banish the January Blues at St Thomas’ TV Gameshow Evening

ST THOMAS’ CHURCH, WEDNESFIELD INVITES YOU TO BANISH THOSE GLOOMY JANUARY NIGHTS AT A FUN TV GAMESHOW EVENING.  DESIGNED FOR ALL THE FAMILY, THIS FUN, FAST-PACED EVENING WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

Saturday 2nd February – 7:30pm

Looking for something to cheer you up?  Then why not come along to out fabulous TV Game Show evening.  Taking place at 7.30pm on Saturday 2nd February the evening will kick off with three couples taking part in ‘Mr and Mrs’ and after the break (as they say on TV) the audience will be invited to have a go at our version of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?’.  The prize fund may not stretch to the heights of the real thing but there’s definitely an opportunity to win yourself a few quid …

Tickets for this event are available on the door at £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.  All money raised will go towards the St Thomas’ Church and Centre appeal, the proceeds of which will fund essential works to the church building and enable the congregation to open the old library building as a new Church Centre.  Talking about the appeal, the Reverend Nick Watson said,

“Launched in the summer of 2011, the St Thomas Church and Centre appeal has already raised close to over £60,000 towards the maintenance of the St Thomas’ Church building for future generations and the development of a new church and community centre.  We’re incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve received so far – but we still have a way to go.  This event will certainly help us get that bit closer to our goal.”

Refreshments will be available before and during the event.  All are welcome – hope to see you there!

About the Author

I have nearly always lived in Wednesfield, I moved away briefly but missed the sense of community and so swiftly moved back! I honestly believe Wednesfield has more to offer than the residents often give it credit for and wanted to do something to redress the balance of negativity around where we live. Working for a media company using the internet and social media as a marketing tool I had the skills and passion to help set up WV11.co.uk so did!
