Police Hunt Ashmore Park One Stop Raiders

Detectives are hunting three robbers following a raid at the Ashmore Park One Stop this morning (Wednesday 23 October).

Police were alerted to the crime just before 6am when staff dialled 999 to report that three offenders with their faces covered entered the shop and threatened the two workers.

Local officers flooded the area and Staffordshire Police were alerted to the crime to help with the search for the offenders.

Detective Sergeant Paul Reeves, from force CID is leading the investigation. He said: “The investigation is in its very early stages but a number of witnesses have been spoken to and forensic scene investigators also scoured the store for clues.”

Cash, cigarettes and a black BMW 335 which belonged to one of the workers were stolen. Although badly shaken by their ordeal neither of the shop staff were physically injured.

Anyone with information which may aid the investigation should call Det Sgt Reeves police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
