Woden Primary closed due to extensive leaks

Woden Primary School on Springfield Road in Wednesfield will be closed on Thurs 13th and Fri 14th Feb, 2014 due to extensive leaks caused by recent weather conditions.

A statement on the school’s website from Head Teacher, Mrs Vernon said:

“Unfortunately due to the severe and unprecedented weather conditions that we are experiencing this week, we have suffered extensive leaks throughout the school. Therefore, Woden will remain closed on Thurs 13th and Fri 14th Feb, 2014.

“No head teacher makes the decision to close their school lightly, however, my key considerations has to be that we ensure the safety of students at all times. With half term next week, our aim is to make the best use of this time to undertake the necessary repairs in order to ensure that we are able to open as normal on Monday 24th February.”
