CakeFest at St Thomas Centre – Help raise funds to fix the church clock

With the opening of the St Thomas’ Cemtre complete, St Thomas’ Church, Wednesfield are turning their attention to the restoration of the clock. Come to CakeFest and help raise funds

With the opening of the St Thomas’ Cemtre complete, St Thomas’ Church, Wednesfield are turning their attention to the restoration of the clock. The church and the clock tower are a landmark of Wednesfield High Street but in the last few years the faces of the clock have started deteriorating and are in desperate need of repair.

To help raise the funds needed to bring the clock back  to it’s former glory the church are planning in a whole array of fundraising activities with one taking place this coming Saturday (5th April) – CakeFest in the newly opened St Thomas’ Centre which is in the shadow of the clock tower.

There will be tea and cake, crafts for the children – and for a donation, you could climb the steps up the tower to see the clock from the inside! (Please note – the stairs are steep so this is only for the physically able and is at your own risk). You can also enter the “Time for a break” raffle – it’s only £1 a ticket and first prize is £150 of Superbreak vouchers for a London theatre break!

Drop by from 10am and treat yourself.
