CALLING ANYONE WITH A CAMERA! ST THOMAS’ CHURCH INVITES YOU TO SUBMIT A PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE 2015 WEDNESFIELD CALENDAR.

Are you an enthusiastic amateur who could produce a photograph that shows Wednesfield at its best, an image that people will want to look at for a month? Are you a budding professional who has a brilliant shot of Wednesfield in the sunshine, in the snow, at Christmas or on market day? Are you the established photographer whose images celebrate one of the town’s best known parts or reveal one of its forgotten corners?

All entries must be received before the closing date of SATURDAY 9th AUGUST

Judging will talk place shortly afterwards by  our own Steph Clarke, award-winning co-founder of wv11.co.uk, Steve Elliot, professional photographer and the Rev’d Nick Watson, Team Rector at St Thomas’ Church, Wednesfield.

Talking about the competition, the Reverend Nick Watson said, “This will be our fourth calendar, and the first three have raised over £2,000 for the St Thomas Appeal, for which we are very grateful. We need 12 landscape photos, and a photo for the cover. So if the sun does make an appearance today, why not pop out and take some photos?”

We’ll  only be considering images that have been taken in and around Wednesfield and they must not include people …. we’re looking for great shots of the town, not its gorgeous residents!

Images can be submitted electronically in jpeg format (no smaller than 300dpi, no larger than 5mb) to info@wv11.co.uk or in hard copy to St Thomas’ Church, Wednesfield.

Please make sure emails include the words ‘Calendar Competition’ in the subject line, envelopes are marked ‘Calendar Competition’ and that each image is clearly labeled with your name, contact details and a description of where it was taken. For full terms and conditions of entry, please email wednesfieldteam@gmail.com or pop into the church on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning.

All proceeds from the sale of the calendars will go towards the St Thomas’ appeal.
