Open day at Wednesfield Organic Garden

‘Our Own Organic Garden’ in Lich Avenue is holding an open day on Saturday 20 September.

As part of The Big Dig, garden volunteers are inviting members of the public to see how far they’ve come after just over one year of opening.

This community garden has been developed to provide a resource to anyone who is interested in gardening as part of team.

You will be able to see the vegetable plots, the pond with its families of newts, the wild border which is to provide for the bees and you’ll also be able to taste some delicious organic produce.

Come to the gate next to 51 Lich Avenue, WV11 3DQ between 10am and 5pm.

There will also be activities for children and adults (if they want!) and we will be accepting donations to help cover the cost of our insurance for the next year.

Hopefully goes some way to fixing this!
