Pinfold Bridge (opposite the Dog & Partridge) is set to be closed to vehicles and pedestrians for essential repair works from Weds Nov 30th for up to 21 weeks.

City Council offcials have reported that the condition of the bridge has deteriorated and it needs to be reconstructed to avoid having to impose further weight restrictions on it.

The bridge and a 20-metre stretch either side of it will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians.

Diversions will be in operation, with vehicles redirected along Lichfield Road (B4484), Lakefield Road (A4124), Wednesfield Way, and Neachells Lane, and vice versa.

The pedestrian diversion route will follow Taylor Street, Wednesfield Park, Nordley Road, South Avenue, Graiseley Lane, Church Street and High Street, and vice versa. There will be temporary night time lighting in place through Wednesfield Park for the duration of the works.

One reply on “Road closures in Wednesfield as Pinfold Bridge is rebuilt”

Hello, I live on Lichfield Road near the junction of Wood End Road, where will I catch the bus to Wolverhampton? Will I have to walk 1/2 a mile down the Lichfield Road as this is the nearest bus stop. Why can’t the buses turn left at Lakefield Road then do a u turn at the Wood End Road island. There’s a lot of disabled people who just can’t walk the extra distance to the nearest bus stop
