About Us
WV11.co.uk  is an award-winning website dedicated to covering community news and events in and around Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. (WV11 refers to the postal code of the area).
The site was founded in July 2009 by local residents James Clarke and Steph Jennings who run the site on a voluntary basis. In October 2011 local radio station 107.7 The Wolf gave WV11 a ‘Pride of Wolverhampton’ award for services to the local community.
Our aim is to cover as many local news stories and events as possible, but we need your help. Do you know of a story we’ve missed? Or perhaps an event that the local community should to know about? If so, get in touch by emailing us on info@wv11.co.uk or phoning/texting us on 07855 409 319.
The Team
Founder: James

I have a keen interest in news and current affairs and develop websites for a living. Having moved to Wednesfield a couple of years ago, I was struck by the sense of community in the area and wanted to try and use my skills to do something positive for the community. WV11.co.uk is the result!
Founder: Steph

I have lived in Wednesfield most of my life. I moved away briefly but missed the sense of community and so swiftly moved back! I honestly believe Wednesfield has more to offer than many residents often give it credit for and wanted to do something to redress the balance of negativity around where we live. Working for a media company using the internet and social media as a marketing tool I had the skills and passion to help set up WV11.co.uk, so I did!
