How to advertise on WV11

WV11 is a not-for-loss project – we have decided to sell adverts in an attempt to cover the running costs of the site. We won’t make much money doing this, but every little bit helps us cover things such as web-hosting & bandwidth fees, along with travel expenses for the meetings and events we cover. Each year we are also pledging to donate a proportion of any money made to a local charity, cause, or group.

We are using the ROCKET Adspace advertising platform where advertisers can sign up and have their ads displayed on this website. All advertisers pay the set fee of £25 per month, with the first month half price.

Ads are available for local businesses and organisations within the Wolverhampton and West Midlands area, although we will prioritise WV11 based organisations.

Sponsored Posts

Another type of advert we offer is the ‘featured post’. We will post an article on the site about your local business/organisation which you’ll get to approve in advance. Your featured post will be guaranteed to have a presence on the homepage of website for 2-5 days, and in all likely hood will be there for several days as we don’t tend to post articles more than once or twice a day. These articles will be clearly marked so that our readers are aware they are reading a sponsored post.

Here’s the good bit: If your business is willing to provide WV11.co.uk readers with an exclusive discount (for a limited time period), your featured post will be free of charge. There are a couple of ways of offering this discount – we can either agree on a discount ‘code’ that readers can quote when making a purchase from you, or you can provide us with a printable flyer that readers can print off and show when they make a purchase.
