ST THOMAS’ CHURCH, WEDNESFIELD INVITES YOU TO A MUSICAL EVENING AS IT PLAYS HOST TO THE IRISH BAND AND TRAINING BAND FROM ST PETER’S COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
On Wednesday 27th June, St Thomas’ Church presents the second concert in its summer concert series. Comprising the Irish Band and Training Band from St Peter’s Collegiate School, this informal evening will be full of lively, diverse music performed by some very talented young people.
This informal, lively and entertaining evening is being presented not only to showcase the musical talents of these pupils but also to raise money for the St Thomas’ Church and Appeal Fund.
Speaking about the concert, the Reverend Nick Watson said, “We are very pleased to be hosting pupils from St Peter’s Collegiate School during our summer concert series. Knowing the quality of music produced at the school, the evening should certainly entertain and delight. We are also very grateful to the school and those pupils performing for donating the proceeds from the concert to our appeal. It is support such as theirs that is enabling us to not only preserve our building but to open the old library building as a new Church and Community Centre.â€
The concert takes place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 27th June. Refreshments will be available and tickets are available either from St Thomas’ Church or on the door for just £5.
