Arson blaze causes damage to Wednesfield businesses

As reported by WV11.co.uk on our Facebook page, early on Saturday morning a fire took hold in a row of shops on Lichfield Road, Wednesfield. The fire which began at Silver & Co accountancy, based on the first storey of the shopping complex soon burnt through the ceiling into the Penguin Cafe below.

Major fire at Corus Steel plant

Over 20 members of staff were evacuated from the Corus Steel plant in Wednesfield last night after a major fire destroyed a sheet blasting machine. Wednesfield car depot destroyed by Fire

The Express & Star reports that a Wednesfield car depot was today destroyed by Fire. More then a dozen cars were destroyed at Auto Technique on Strawberry Lane, Wednesfield and Fire Crews spent more than five hours battling the blaze.
