Match report by Chris Vaughan, Sunday Mercury:

Mitch Fammond was in fine form for Wednesfield, scoring four goals in a 5-2 win at Ledbury.

Stuart Skitt gave Wednesfield the lead with a penalty on 33 minutes before Fammond got his first, two minutes later.

Dorian Colling got a goal back for Ledbury before being sent off on 54 minutes after a penalty area incident.

Fammond made it 3-1 before Ledbury sub David Accam got a goal back.

But two late goals from Fammond completed the win for Wednesfield.

Ludlow overhauled a 3-1 deficit at half-time to run out 4-3 winners against Wednesfield.

Mark Swann, Mitchell Fellows and John Griffiths had put the visitors in pole position but Ludlow stole the points with second half strikes from Nathan Hodge (two) and Stuart Corns to add to Gareth Hamer’s early effort.

After 2 draws in a row Wednesfield finally came out on top beating Bromyard Town 3-2 away from home at the weekend. The Cottagers remain 8th in the WMRL Premier Division and have clocked up 17 points so far this season.

Let’s hope the boys can follow up last weekend’s win tomorrow when they face Barwell in the FA Carlsberg Vase first round proper.
