Oak Meadow re-build progresses
Pupils at Oak Meadow Primary are getting the first glimpses of their new £7m school building.
Pupils from St Alban’s Primary School in Ashmore Park will be using the latest mobile technology to help them learn this summer.
Demolition began this week at the former Danesmore Park Primary School site in Ashmore Park, Wednesfield. The school in Russell Close has been closed since December 2007 and was the victim of a major arson attack in October 2010.
Work will begin soon on the next stage of the multi-million-pound transformation of several secondary schools in Wednesfield after the Government approved plans for the latest phase of work. Artists impressions reveal sleek, modern looking school buildings.
Local Historian Ray Fellows will be giving one of his local history talks at The Vine Inn on Lichfield Road on Saturday 26th February at 7pm.
