Wolverhampton Homes wins national award

Wolverhampton Homes which manages 23,500 properties including 1,800 leaseholds on behalf of Wolverhampton City Council recently scooped a national award for engaging with tenants.
The £400 million Decent Homes programme won the National Housing Maintenance Forum’s ‘Best at Meeting Residents’ Needs’ award.

Fake Workmen on the Prowl

We have received an email from the secretary of the Ashmore Park PACT meetings with a warning for all Wednesfield residents:
There have been two men posing as “water board” officials trying to get into houses around the area. The local Police are aware of this issue.

Residents fight meals on wheels charges

The Stirrer reports that over 1200 Wednesfield residents have signed a petition against Wolverhampton City Council’s plans to double the cost of Hot meals from it’s Meals On Wheels service.
The price of hot meals is set to rise from £2.20 to £4.40 – with a free frozen alternative being offered at the lower price.
