Carriage way repairs and resurfacing are taking place in WV11 over the next few days. Several roads are affected and a section of the Lichfield Road is due to be shut all day on Sunday 2nd August and throughout the night on Tuesday 4th August. See below for information on the closures:
Lichfield Road – between Wem Gardens and Lakefield Road
Work Description: Wolverhampton City Council – Carriageway repairs and resurfacing
Dates: Commencing 01 August 2009, estimated finish date 03 August 2009.
Restriction: Temporary Road Closure – All day on Sunday 2nd and night time on Tuesday 4th ONLY. Diversion route:Lichfield Road; Neachells Lane; March End Road; Lakefield Road.
Lichfield Road – between Lakefield Road and Coleman Avenue
Work Description: Wolverhampton City Council – Carriageway repairs and resurfacing
Dates: Commencing 26 July 2009, estimated finish date 15 August 2009.
Restriction: Temporary Traffic Signals – between 09.30hours and 15.30hours. Temporary Road closures to some side roads leading off Lichfield Road: Moathouse Lane East 21st and 31st July Coalman Avenue 29th and 31st July Lyndale Drive 30th July and the 7th of August Hyde Road 2nd August and night time on 4th August. Local diversions will be in place.

I didn’t realise they were closing the Lichfield Road – let’s hope the new surface fixes all the potholes down there!
