The Express & Star reports that the Department of Work and Pensions’ Future Jobs Fund has handed Wolverhampton £3 million to create new jobs for long term unemployed people aged 18 to 24. The fund aims to create around 2,000 new jobs in the Black Country from October 2009 at a variety of different organisations.
2,000 new jobs created locally can only be seen as a positive move by the Government given the current economic climate, let’s hope some of this funding benefits those unemployed in WV11.
