Police have arrested two men on drug offences following raids in Orchard Crescent, Wednesfield at around 7:30am this morning (Friday).
At the first address, officers found a quantity of a substance believed to be heroin and arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug. At the second address, a 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of cannabis. Both men are currently helping police with their enquiries.
Sergeant Tracey Baker, from Wednesfield North Neighbourhood police team, said: “The supply and use of drugs ruins people’s lives. Crime is often higher in areas where drugs are being used and there can be a greater problem with anti-social behaviour.
“We are committed to reducing drug dealing in Wednesfield and Ashmore Park and we will continue to target drug dealers and users in the locality.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information about drugs in the area to call 0845 113 5000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
