The 2011 Census is fast approaching us on Sunday 27th March and as of today you will begin to see TV ads and information in the press about the Census.
Whilst many people will know all about the Census, there is a generation of people (such as myself) who only have a vague recollection of the last one which took place 10 years ago in 2001.
Back then I was 20 years old and didn’t really pay much attention to the whole thing – the most interesting part was being able to state my religion as ‘Jedi’, which I did along with half of the UK!
You may be wondering why the Census matters – or how you take part, so over the next few weeks we’ll be posting a series of articles about the upcoming Census – we’ll also post a follow up after the event highlighting how the population of Wednesfield has changed in the last 10 years.
