Pride of Wolverhampton Awards 2011

nominate someone you know and they could be one of the lucky winners to receive an accolade to be proud of.

107.7 The Wolf  radio station has teamed up with The Mander Centre to bring you the Pride of Wolverhampton Awards 2011 – A chance to showcase all that’s good about the people of Wolverhampton!

In October they will be holding a glitzy black tie event at Molinuex, honouring some of the most deserving and admirable people our city has to offer! With a range of awards up for grabs all you need to do nominate someone you know and they could be one of the lucky winners to receive an accolade to be proud of.

The categories include:

Child of Courage – Open to Children aged up to 16. Courageous act over a long period of time i.e. illness, hospital etc.

Little Star – Open to Children aged up to 16. Performer, dancing singing etc. Heading for stardom!

Teacher of the Year (Adult)- Kids need to get to voting this time – tell us why your teacher deserve to be given the award of Teacher of the Year – have they done something really special for you and your classmates. Headteachers, have you got as member of staff who has gone the extra mile for the children at your school?

Parent/Guardian of the Year (Adult) Kids need to get to voting this time – tell us why your parents deserve to be given the award of Parent of the Year – have they done something really special for you and your siblings, do they work really hard etc etc.

Grandparent of the Year (Adult) – Kids need to get to voting this time – tell us why your grandparents deserve to be given the award of Parent of the Year – have they done something really special for you and your siblings/parents, do they work really hard etc etc.

Friend of the Year (Children/Adult) – Fairly Generic but an individual who has been community minded and given back and gone the extra mile for a friend.

Neighbour of the Year (Children/Adults) – Fairly Generic but a neighbour who have been community minded and given back and gone the extra mile.

Family Of The Year(Children/Adults) – Fairly Generic but a whole family who have been community minded and given back and gone the extra mile.

Entrepreneur Of The Year (Children/Adults) – Business minded, good idea that’s raised funds

Outstanding Achievement In Sport (Children/Adults) – An achiever in a particular sport. Trains hard, enters competitions, wins medals/trophies.

Carer Of The Year (Children/Adults) – Carer for Family Member or someone who works in the industry who goes the extra mile.

Act of Bravery – Open to Children and Adults – Random act of bravery e.g. fire incident, dangerous circumstances etc

Contribution to the Community (Children/Adults) sponsored by SunnySide Kennels – Dedication to community groups.

Charitable Act of The Year (Children/Adults). – Someone who has carried out a huge fundraiser attempt i.e. challenge/event.

To nominate your chosen parties visit 107.7 The Wolf website and fill in their form Closing date for entries is Sunday 9th October and they can not accept late entries.
