Fearless.org – it’s not wrong to “Grass”

Fearless.org is a website aimed at young people where they can obtain information and non-judgemental advice on crime.

Fearless.org is a new website being lauched by Crimestoppers

Fearless.org is aimed at young people, a place where they can obtain information and non-judgemental advice on crime. The website offers information on things like:

  • Fighting & Murder
  • Sex Crimes
  • Knife and Gun Crimes
  • Cyber/Web crimes and bullying (including social media websites)
  • Theft
  • Vandalism and Gangs

Fearless.org has been introduced because Crimestoppers are conscious of the fact that young people are victims of crime just as much as adults but are less likely to report crimes because of the fear of being a “snitch” or a “grass”.

Young people can report crimes through the “Contact us” section of the fearless.org website using the secure form or call crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – using both of these methods they will remain anonymous. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Remember, reporting through fearless.org is 100% anonymous and no calls are recorded nor are details of online reports recorded. This ensures that no-one finds out who reported the crime and you know that you would not be branded as a “snitch” or “grass” for assisting with reducing the crime in your community.

This website also has useful links to helpful agencies such as FRANK, NSPCC, National Youth Agency and there are useful downloads and screen-savers available for free as well.

In the West Midlands there are going to be 30 schools promoting the website, 12 of these are going to be in Wolverhampton, one of which is going to be Wednesfield High.
