A would-be burglar has been recorded trying to break into a Wednesfield home on CCTV installed at the property.

Footage released by West Midlands Police shows a man trying to get into the house via a bathroom window. Watch the video below…

The footage was recorded at a property on Lichfield Road, Wednesfield around 10:15am on 6th June.

PC Mick Walley, from Wolverhampton Police, said: “It is thought the offender, who is believed to have acted alone, was disturbed by a resident in the house and then left the scene.

“Someone in the community must know this man and will be able to identify from this very clear image. I urge them to do the right thing and give us a call.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wolverhampton Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
