Kristian Thomas & Tessa Sanderson set for Christmas lights

Olympic medallists Kristian Thomas and Tessa Sanderson are set to switch on Wednesfield’s Christmas lights this year.

Wednesfield’s annual Christmas Lights event will have an Olympic theme this year when not one, but two Olympic medal winners kick of the festivities.

London 2012 Bronze Medal Gymnast Kristian Thomas will join Los Angeles 1984 Gold Medal Javelin thrower Tessa Sanderson to switch on the Christmas lights in Wednesfield.

23 year old Wednesfield lad Kristian who won Bronze in the Gymnastics Team event this summer and 56 year old Tessa will turn on the lights in Wednesfield High Street on Thursday 22nd November.

This year’s event which will take place between 4pm and 5:30pm is set to be the biggest and best yet with fair ground rides, a carol concert and Santa and his sleigh, as well as refreshments available.

We’ll have more details as they are confirmed.
