Wednesfield Aces last night unveiled the new covered pits building for the first time, on the evening the club staged the Joan Aris memorial Trophy, held in memory of Joan who was dearly loved and fondly remember by all at Wednesfield Aces.
Roger Ellis club manager commented, “Once the Aces had been awarded the world finals, the committee knew there were two projects to complete. The first part was the laying of a new track that was completed in November 2014 and the second phase was to give the riders a world class pits area to warrant the riders world class status of appearing in the three finals being held at the track on August 9th.
“The pits has been made bigger both in length and width with a new concrete floor and then finally a new steal structured covered pits. This will be the legacy for riders to use for the next fifty years in the aces history, once the world finals have been staged. The feed back from the young riders at the meeting was very complementary all giving it the thumbs up.”
