Wednesfield History Society is proud to present the 2016 “Battle of Wodensfield re-enactment event” on Saturday 6th August from 11:30am – 4:30pm at Wednesfield High School.

Wednesfield History Society is proud to present the 2016 “Battle of Wodensfield re-enactment event” on Saturday 6th August from 11:30am – 4:30pm at Wednesfield High School.

The Society has been able to secure funding for the event (which is in it’s second year) from the Big Lottery’s ‘Awards For All’ funding programme which means a bigger, better battle this year!

Highlights include:

  • Re-enactment events with 50+ fighters at 12:30pm and 2:30pm
  • Inflatable Fun Fair (with purchase of wristband)
  • Saxon Village experience
  • Face Painting
  • Community & Craft Stalls
  • Hog Roast & refreshments
  • Mini soccer tournament
  • Raffle and much more!

The event will be opened by Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Barry Findlay.

Entry to this year’s event will be £1 per person on the gate and wristbands for the inflatable fun fair will be available for £5 which will allow unlimited access to all rides.
