Sainsbury’s in Wednesfield is set for a 21,600 sq ft extension which will include a new customer cafe and see the existing petrol station relocated to improve access and traffic flow. Plans are also afoot to include more space for cyclists, a revamped entrance lobby and new trees and landscaping. Up to 80 new jobs will be created as part of the plans.
Members of the supermarket’s project team will be in the store on Saturday between 10am and 2pm to discuss plans with customers.
Sainsbury’s development executive Christian Wakelin said today: “We hope members of the public will come and see how our plans can benefit local residents and shoppers.â€
