Sainsburyâ€™s in Wednesfield is set for a 21,600 sq ft extension which will include a new customer cafe and see the existing petrol station relocated to improve access and traffic flow. Plans are also afoot to include more space for cyclists, a revamped entrance lobby and new trees and landscaping.Â Up to 80 new jobs will be created as part of the plans.
Members of the supermarketâ€™s project team will be in the store on Saturday between 10am and 2pm to discuss plans with customers.
Sainsburyâ€™s development executive Christian Wakelin said today: â€œWe hope members of the public will come and see how our plans can benefit local residents and shoppers.â€
