Appeal over ‘lost’ record collection

Wednesfield PCSOs have found a vinyl record collection abandoned on a canal tow path.

Whilst patrol on 28th July 2011 PCSO Matthew Bailey and PCSO Steve Simpson came across two carrier bags in a bush on the canal tow path, behind the Gala Bingo Hall on Lichfield Road, Wednesfield. Inside the bags were folders containing a collection of old vinyl records which appear to have been well looked after and were “well presented”.

The items were returned to Wednesfield Police Station and booked into the property store, however officers cannot find any offences recorded on their system whereby these items may have been stolen/lost.

The PCSOs are now making an appeal in an attempt to re-unite the owner of the records with their vinyl collection, which looks like it may be their pride and joy.

If you think that this collection is yours and it has been lost or stolen, please contact Wednesfield Police Station on 0345 113 5000.
