Fairtrade fortnight in Wolverhampton

Rachel Freeland has contacted us with information about Fairtrade Fortnight in Wolverhampton.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 27th Feb – 11th March this year and the Wolverhampton Fairtrade shop is at the forefront in promoting Fairtrade in the city, seeking to promote not only fair trade products, but ideals as well.

The shop which is located in Darlington St Methodist Church, School Street is open on the following days:

Wednesdays 10am – 4pm and 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
Thursdays 10am – 4pm and 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
Fridays 10am – 4pm.

The shop relies on volunteers and provides goods to many schools, places of worship and other venues.

The main supplier is Traidcraft which is a Christian response to poverty, established in 1979 and is the UK’s leading Fair Trade organisation. Traidcraft go “the extra mile” in their response to poverty, not only providing fair trade goods, but also building long term relationships with producers.
