Crimestoppers, the independent charity that enables members of the public to pass on information anonymously about crime is seeking volunteers in Wolverhampton.
Crimestoppers is managed locally by a West Midlands Committee but a group of volunteers have set up a Wolverhampton group to promote its activities across the city.
Volunteers will be expected to fund raise, attend events and promote the charity. Younger Volunteers are also being sought to get involved with FEARLESS.ORG website.
In return volunteers can expect training and development with recognition that volunteering is a means of fulfilling the purpose of Crimestoppers; to enable members of the public to pass information anonymously about crime or criminal activity.
The new committee will meet six times a year but there will be opportunities for volunteers to carry out work at other times in support of local areas. The next meeting of the committee will be at 5:00 pm on 9 January 2013.
