St Thomas’ Centre Now Open

For the last few years St Thomas’ Church in Wednesfield have been tirelessly fundraising to take over the lease of the old library and bring into back into use as a community centre for the whole area.

This Saturday saw the fruits of their labour when Bishop of Lichfield, Jonathon Gledhill officially opened the centre for the church and the community.

The library has been fully refurbished with a new kitchen area and a large multi purpose space  which will be available to hire.

The centre was open for the day for people to drop by and take a look for themselves at the changes centre, eat cake and maybe even say hello to Bobo the owl. The general consensus was the new centre is a lovely open space with old users of the library surprised at how big it is.

Why not pop by this coming Saturday (5th April) for CakeFest – eat cake and take a look for yourself!
