Local Police and Crime board on the lookout for representatives

Does crime and safety matter to you? The Safer Wolverhampton Partnership is looking for new board members.

Does crime and safety matter to you? Do you want to make sure the views of the community are represented at senior level partnership meetings? Are you interested in reducing crime and disorder and making Wolverhampton a safer place?

The Local Police and Crime Board (LPCB) is seeking membership from community representatives to represent each of the three parliamentary constituency areas of the city – North East, South East and South West.

As part of the Safer Wolverhampton Partnership (SWP), the LPCB extends the responsibility of the partnership to include third sector organisations, community groups, special interest groups and business representatives. The selected representative will support the LPCB on behalf of all the areas within their constituency and will represent the views of the communities from across this Constituency area.

Members on the board provide a vital link between the Police and Crime Commissioner and the communities within Wolverhampton.

The SWP is the statutory Community Safety Partnership for Wolverhampton. If you are interested in being a representative or would like more information, please contact Abdul Rahim at Abdul.rahim@wolverhampton.gov.uk or call 01902 556617.
